About Us
We are a small independent footwear company based in England. Our aim is simple: To make the best casual footwear there is.
Our shoes are designed in England and handmade in Portugal, by craftsmen using traditional techniques, learnt and developed over a lifetime.
Shoes made the right way, not the cheapest or the quickest.
We use the best materials available. Our leathers and suede have been made especially for us. They have been developed to be thick and flexible enough to provide both comfort and support.
Our crepe comes from a small plantation in Sri Lanka. We searched long and hard to find the best quality crepe with the right combination of softness and durability. The quality of soling material makes a big difference and we think we've found the best there is.
For us, the way a shoe is constructed is integral to the design. We try to minimise the number of seams needed to create the shape. In this way the strongest, most comfortable, most aesthetically pleasing construction is obtained. Simplicity is key.
We love the smell you get from a quality bit of leather, we love the sound of crepe squelching when you walk. We love seeing something that's been made with pride, care and skill....We hope you feel the same.
